What is the Co Driver service?Co Drivers simply pick up the customer in their car and drive them to their home or destination. A back up driver follows in your (or their car) and then picks up the driver from the destination. Do I need the use of my Car?Yes you need a car, unless you wish to be teamed up with another driver and they can use their car. What are the hours of work?Normally the service operates from 2pm – 3am Friday and Saturday Normally the service operates from 2pm – Midnight Tuesday - Thursday & Sunday Mondays Are Closed. So you can request to be rostered on during these times. Bookings outside these hours may be taken with 24Hrs notice
How much do Co Drivers Charge?Co Drivers charge a $16.50 service fee and $2.20 per kilometre
How much do the drivers get paid?The driver receives 45% and the backup Drivers receives 55% of the total charge after the Commission (30%) is taken out to cover the use of their car, petrol and their time, i.e. if the total charge is $100 , then Total Payin = $ 30.00 Drivers = $31.50 Backup = $38.50 Also Drivers are required to pay Insurance excess of $750 in the advent of an accident to help with this we take $1.00 per job the drivers do until the $750 is reached this money the excess is total $1500 but we will meet you halfway. The $750 is the drivers money and when the driver leaves will be refunded the amount paid within 2 weeks of notice
How am I paid?The driver team is paid in cash, or electronic funds transfer to your personal bank account, depending on your preference.
How much can a driver team expect to earn on an average night?The average job is 17 Kms, the average job cost is $55, so therefore the average driver team earn per job is approx $40
How many jobs per night can I expect?This depends on how busy we are, and how many drivers are scheduled for that evening.
What qualifications are required of the driver?To be covered by our insurance, we require you as a driver of a customers car to be over 25 and to have a clean 5 year driving history.
What do I need to do to start?You need to fill out a driver questionnaire and provide us with a copy of your current license, if you are approved you can start asap. |
